The BET playlist is frozen for the week of October 31 due to a celebration of the channel's 25th anniversary.
25 Strong: The BET Silver Anniversary Celebration. is being taped tonight, October 26, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and will air on BET on November 1. Scheduled to perform and/or appear at the fete are such stars as Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah, Earth Wind & Fire, Mary J. Blige, John Legend, R. Kelly, Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J and Nelly.
Instead of a traditional show host, 25 Strong will feature a diverse group of emcees, including Donnie Simpson, Serena Williams, Dr. Bobby Jones, Steve Harvey and Arsenio Hall. Each celebrity emcee will host segments dedicated to different moments in the channel's history. The show will also pay tribute to retiring BET Founder and Chairman, Robert L. Johnson
