Actor Dave Sheridan of the MTV series Buzzkill and the film Ghost World — he was the hesher with a mustache — plays a man on a mission to win a regional air guitar competition in this video for Barenaked Ladies. In order to lend the video an authentic vibe, the band has put out a call to find the
fans with the sweetest air guitar moves.
The band is promoting a contest in which fans are asked to download the track "Wind It Up" for free from their MySpace page and then record a video in which they play air guitar to the track. Upload the video to you Tube and alert the band via a special Wind It Up Video Contest page. The Barenaked Ladies will be judging the entries and the best air guitarist will get a chance to be in the video
Those needing to get a handle on the competition can check out the entries on You Tube. Most of the entries are way more elaborate than expected, while others are exactly what you feared.
