There's a good chance you won't make it past the absolutely brutal opening scenes of this Five Finger Death Punch video about teen suicide, since it's so graphic (blood, vomit, cutting, pills, guns, more vomit) it makes "Jeremy" seem like a subtle afterscool special.
But, the band and director Nick Peterson's intention is to use every tool in their arsenal — drama, animation and, yes, shock and awe — to bring attention to cyber-bullying, depression and all these other issues. And its over 500k views in about a week's time with pages upon pages of mostly passionate comments from their fanbase, so the intended audience is clearly responding to it.
Even if my generation is more comfortable with: Teenage Suicide. Don't Do It.
