Finally, a video with an actual hoe in it. (Get it? Hoes vs. Hos? Hilarious? No? Damn.) Director Teddi Dean Bennett delivers a tale worthy of this murder ballad from country outsiders Bob Frank and John Murry. The video relays the sad story about a young wife
who gets raped while tending the fields. Her hubby gets revenge, but then gets it himself in the end. No, it's not your typical video — and raping and hangings violate any and all network standards — but it's a fine match for this dark and atmospheric folk dirge.
