Description: West Indian Girl is neither West Indian, nor a girl According to the American band's official bio, the name stems from an early, yet very potent strain of LSD. The sound of "What Are You Afraid Of?" certainly reflects that vibe as it splits the difference between mellow sixties psychedelia and side two of the Jane's Addiction album Ritual De Lo Habitual. Performance takes place in a sun-drenched field of flowers, while a child walks through a bizarre bazaar in order to transport a baby elephant to a temple.
