CMT's new digital channel CMT Pure Country launches nationwide today with a promise of delivering "uninterrupted country music around the clock." The network will spotlight the entire spectrum of country music, including such diverse artists as Johnny Cash, Gretchen Wilson, George Strait, Tim McGraw and Willie Nelson. Programming blocks on CMT Pure Country include:
- Studio 330 Sessions - An intimate, live performance series previously seen only at CMT.com
- Pure 12 Pack Countdown - A countdown of the top 12 country songs, as voted by fans at CMT.com
- Pure Vintage - A look back at classic country clips from as far back as the early '80s
CMT Pure Country reaches 12 million homes through the digital cable providers Comcast, Charter, Cox, CableOne, Mediaone, Knology, Cequel II, Armstrong and Blue Ridge.
