WATCH IT: Bryan Ferry "You Can Dance" (Ferry Gouw, dir.)

Roxy Music legend Bryan Ferry doesn't quite have a case of Teen Spirit, but director Ferry Gouw does use that video as inspiration for the video's color palette and possibly for the all gyrating bodies in the crowd.

Perry Gouw, director: "Bryan wanted to portray the video as a band performance in, perhaps, the seediest, most glamorous, and most exclusive underground club/society, where beautiful people are all high on life. We always loved the idea of using Wilton's music hall as a location, it was just about pinpointing the kind of atmosphere we wanted, and seems like we came to a common ground on, of all things possible, Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. I think the smoke, and dirt, mixed in well with the gold and glamour and the dark undertones of the track. The slow motion confetti is also a nice little nod to Roxy's Manifesto."
