WATCH IT: K-os "4,3,2,1"

K-os Although I think most music fans can now successfully count up to four thanks to Feist and Plain White T's — no thanks to Bono and his catorce nonsense — Canadian alt-rapper K-os makes sure we've also mastered the countdown with this video for "4,3,2,1." The clip uses the old hip-hop video trick of using stop-motion or chopped frames to create the illusion of K-os and crew having fluid and physics-defying movement — The best mainstream examples are probably Beastie Boys "Intergalactic" and the SNL digital short "Lazy Sunday," ironically enough. This tried-and-true effect is grounded in a concept though: k-os is a cleaning man at a Toronto mall, where he's able o let his imagination run wild as he works his way through the various stores. --> watch "4,3,2,1"
