Description: There aren't many rock bands that can be easily summed up in one word, and of those, Moringwood is the only one that lays claim to the word "fun." This second video off the NYC band's self-titled debut album is a romp through a used record bin. Each album pulled from the crate  comes to life  with Morningwood appearing in whatever guise appropriate to the album's band or genre. Singer Chantal Claret and her bandmates don full-on metal gear to evoke a typical metal album cover (think Manowar, if you must), disco duds for a nod to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack record, plus homages to albums from The Ramones, Kraftwerk, Master P and much, much more.
Although this isn't the first album cover music video homage  — The Shins recreated several indie rock album covers in "New Slang" and director Phil Harder created similar works for Cornershop's "Brimful Of Asha" and Liz Phair's "Why Can't I" — visual effects studio Guava and directors Peter McCoubrey and Adam Neustadter of Wormseye Films deliver something that's both unique from those earlier videos and fun enough to stand up to the enthusiastic bombast of Morningwood.
