The Wall Street Journal's technology/media site All Things D confirms the pending launch of VEVO, a much rumored Universal Music Group music video site being developed in conjunction with Google's YouTube.
VEVO will be a standalone site with its own embeddable player that will use the backend and underlying technology of YouTube. All Things D writer Peter Kafka analyzes the endeavor and includes the official press release (and a Lil' Wayne video because, well, why not?). So, instead of being redundant, I'll just tell you to go there.
