
Last night's VMAs proved yet again that Taylor Swift can do anything. She can share the stage and make amends with Nicki Minaj and she can graciously present Kanye West with his Video Vanguard Award. And she can also cede the spotlight to director Joseph Kahn, resulting in an acceptance speech that was biggest primetime VMA look for a director since Hype Williams got his Vanguard, and also the classiest moment of the night.
Taylor and Kahn won every category they were nominated in — except for the technical side — and basically showed that big and ambitious videos get rewarded, both in terms of popularity and awards.
See below for all the winners, even though I kind of agree with Kanye that awards are oftentimes a painfully unfair competition forced upon artists, bruh.
