The gritty, charged new video for “Running Away From God,” is a song that pivots between creole jazz, speaker-rattling bass, and a lyric delivery so hot you’ll be seeking out the nearest first aid kit.
“Running Away From God” is a marathon of a clip that will leave the viewer catching their breath. Throughout the video he is seen sprinting through the city streets in a frenzy, clearly fearful of whatever lurks just behind him. Eventually, between the hands behind the head and the flashing red and blue lights makes it clear that he’s running from a different kind of “god.”
