IN DEPTH: Jonas Bros. "Love Bug"

You have a teeny-bopper act that's insanely popular. A decidedly catchy song that could easily be matched with a simple beach party video — or, even easier, a tie-in with a certain Volkswagen. Give credit to the Jonas Brothers for wanting something very different. Director Philip Andelman takes us behind-the-scenes on a totally lush and unexpected video for the new Jonas Bros. single "Lovebug."

WATCH IT: Ciara "Go Girl"

Do not adjust your TV (or monitor). All the static and jitters are all on purpose in this ultra-stylish trip of a video for Ciara. The concept seems to be Ciara as a pent-up office worker who's ready to bust out like Janet Jackson at the Super Bowl. T-Pain provides some backing vocals, but the star is Ciara, who steals the show with some s&m future-garb that gets skimpier as things progress. --> watch "Go Girl"

IN DEPTH: Jack's Mannequin "The Resolution"

Much like Stephenie Meyer maps out a the difficulties of teenage love —and especially the logistics of a relationship between a mortal and a vampire — in her popular young adult novel series Twilight, this first music video to spring from her mind is also a meditation on a love that cannot easily be requited (or consummated). Meyer collaborates with director Noble Jones on a fable that has Jack's Mannequin frontman Andrew McMahon falling deeper in love with an unobtainable mermaid.

WATCH IT: Hey Monday "Homecoming"

Despite the subliminal sexual power of the bowling alley — balls, holes, fingers — the young man who's trying to get lucky with his date finds that his tried-and-true moves are all for naught. The reason is the presence of his ex-girlfriend aka frontgal Cassadee Pope of teenypunker act Hey Monday. Cassadee happily exerts some girl power by warning her galpal not to fall for his moves. --> watch "Homecoming"
