Drew Davies "Living the Dream" (Juliet Bryant, dir.)
Living The Dream was written after removing myself from a number of unsavoury friendships. I'd thrown myself into my work and whilst I had become somewhat of a hermit in those days, I also met a wonderful woman and started a new romance. The song is for anyone going their own way and is a postcard from that period in my life.
The lyrics are quite tongue in cheek and center on the rejection of lifestyle choices often thrust upon us and the consumerism attached to them. I wrote about the new love in my life and the scene from where I was writing the song.
