"The aim was for the video to show two very distinct depictions of Hero and the band. It was about acknowledging that they are simultaneously performers, and just a bunch of friends who play music together.

So one section of the video is very stylised and theatrical, and the other section is as natural and raw as possible. Once we started pushing this concept a bit further, we ended up experimenting with different filming equipment and techniques. It was a really playful process."

My way into thinking about making visuals for the track was the reversed guitar riff - for me, it conjured up images of a surreal, dreamlike world, and this ended up driving the aesthetic. I'd been experimenting with half-animation techniques at the time, and it felt like a great fit.

"To reflect the mix of different musical styles in Camo & Krooked's new Zeitgeist album, we created a video that emulated the opening credits of a 70s crime show, but set in the modern day. In this show, we follow a femme fatale - Detective Lily Stone - a sexy & dangerous character who isn't afraid to bend the rules to get her way. 

halcyon - that’s Jack Pirie and Alex Hylands-White – have ‘unearthed’ a lost film of scientific experimentation from the 1970s…. experiments at ‘Zenith Medical Technologies’ in the field of ‘ecteneic energy’ which are murky, dangerous, and ultimately devastating.
