The 16th Annual Music Video Production Awards is scheduled for this Wednesday, May 16 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Doors are at 6pm, with the ceremony set to begin at 7:30. Tickets are $165 and available at the door.
In addition to all the previously announced categories, the MVPA will also be bestowing several honorary awards:
- Lifetime Achievement to director Wayne Isham
- Kratz Award for Creative Excellence to Lydia Sarno and Devin Sarno of Warner Bros.
- Hall of Fame Video Award to director Jonas Akerlund for Prodigy "Smack My Bitch Up"
The host for the evening is comedian Jimmy Pardo. Presenters and celebrities scheduled to appear include Christina Aguilera, Jesse McCartney and "Weird" Al Yankovic, Directors expected to be in attendance include Paul Hunter, Joseph Kahn, Mark Pellington, Joseph Kahn, Floria Sigismondi, Chris Milk, Frank Borin and many others.
