The Music Video Production Association (MVPA) announced the winners of MVPA Awards at an event held this past weekend as part of the LAMVF.

- Best Hip Hop Video: Kanye West "We Were Once A Fairytale" (Spike Jonze, dir.)
- Best Rock Video: Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Zero" (Barney Clay, dir.)
- Best Pop Video: Lady Gaga "Bad Romance" (Francis Lawrence, dir.)
- Best Video Produced Under 25K: The Fray "Heartless" (Hiro Murai, dir.)
2010:
- Best Video of The Year: Arcade Fire "The Wilderness Downtown ("We Used To Wait")" (Chris Milk, dir.)
- Best Hip Hop Video: (tie) Eminem "Not Afraid" (Rich Lee Lee, dir.) and Dr Dre "Kush" (Joseph Kahn, dir.)
- Best Rock Video: Arcade Fire "The Wilderness Downtown ("We Used To Wait")" (Chris Milk, dir.)
- Best Pop Video: Katy Perry "California Gurls" Mathew Cullen, dir
