Rose Elinor Dougall "Stellular" (Jamie Delaney, dir.)

Jamie Delaney and former Pipettes member Rose Elinor Dougall get otherworldly on the video for Stellular.

The title track from Dougall’s new album, Stellular is a solid piece of indie-pop – languid vocals bathed in isolation, and an uneasy, inevitable shoulder shuffle of angular bass, synths and guitar.

In Rose’s own words Stellular is “something bolder, less apologetic, more decisive… a sophisticated pop record”.

The video sees Rose on a journey through darkened urban streets, in search of distant ethereal lights.

Coldplay "Hymn For The Weekend" (Ben Mor, dir.)

A colorful, magical mystery tour through Mumbai, Delhi, and Worli Village with Coldplay and guest singer Beyoncé, plus a cameo by Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor.

Ben Mor, director: "Hymn For The Weekend is such an exuberant, life-affirming song and I wanted the visuals to compliment and heighten that tone. At the same time, I wanted to spark people’s imaginations and curiosity as they watch just a small fraction of what India has to offer."

Alfons "Ganjaman" (Casper Balslev, dir.)

In case you were wondering if “Turn Down for What” — maybe the best video and single of 2014 — would birth its own genre, well, maybe we’ve got our answer: Here’s “Ganjaman” by a Norwegian fellow named Alfons. The video features an apparent dope dealer who goes around basically being completely amazing, whether at the bingo hall, at home, or even in a Harry Potter prison.

Hilary Duff "All About You" (Declan Whitebloom, dir.)

Hillary Duff has a  mystery crush — but she also an Amazon Fire phone and a plan to find him via an album he left behind at a restaurant.

My question is: If you hate the usual "let's randomly shove it in" product placement technique, then how do you feel about a video like this where it's actually thoroughly integrated into the storyline and structure of the video?
