Royksopp "Running To The Sea" (Shiouwen Hong, dir.)

The idea of of the two people standoff in a dark ring has been lurking in my head for a while. As I came across the contest and listened to the track, the idea came back to me as the mood really echoed the visual I had in mind. This piece reflects a person's search for identity. Through two characters, who initially fight and oppose each other, yet in the end they find that they are one in the same.

La Roux "Let Me Down Gently" (Oliver Hadlee Pearch, dir.)

A few questions this video raises:

1) What happened to Elly Jackson for her to be in a claustrophobic room?

2) Did she find a way out or is she reminiscing of a better time?

3) While outside, is it really happy to be free? Alone?

Decide for yourself in this clip, La Roux's first new video in more than three-and-a-half years.

Ivy Levan "Hot Damn" (Daniel Carberry, dir.)

Ivy Levan - Hot Damn

Some wannabe Reservoir Dogs learn not to fuck with Ivy Levan's diner when she's on the grill. Despite that gritty/badass concept, director Daniel Carberry goes for a timeless b&w palette and styling that gets increasingly glamorous as Levan kicks more and more ass.

Now, if only she remembered to watch her back...
