Director Emile Sande finds some amazing moments and loops it, loops it in a fantastic video that places Dizzee Rascal as the ruling aristocrat of a gilded palace.
A haunting video about bad things people do, even if it's just to themselves.
Alexander Courtes, director: “In an isolated house situations collide, that illustrate different facets of life and lives that have inhabited this place. Through its poetic nature, this film deals with the different emotions the song brings forth in me, and allows me to illustrate freely the surreal aspects of those very different themes that reflect the wide spectrum of sensations, ideas, thoughts and feelings of our lives.
This project is a direct reference to the works of Fellini and David Lynch. It is a juxtaposition of life scenes and actions that have nothing to do with each other in particular, that however create a fantastic dynamic and resolutely surreal experience.”
These DIY superheroes inspired by Kick Ass 2 don't seem capable of much beyond picking their noses and looking cool, which is actually a pretty impressive superpower if you think about it. Just don't expect them to stop that huge green monster that's about to destroy your city.
You can watch this and wonder where the money to do something this big came from, or how they pulled off each sequence, or even what it all means. I suggest you just sit back and take it all in as you back your way out of the usually unseen controlling apparatus of a futuristic society.
Fleur & Manu, directors: " 'Wait is' the final episode of the trilogy. The end point of this great visual collaboration that has been ongoing with M83 throughout 2012. We felt it was important to re-connect with a meaningful subject that would have an echo in today's world. The promise of a new cycle, seen through the kid's eyes."
I absolutely love the set design and choreography in this Willy Moon video directed by Alex Courtes. You should too. Keep in mind that Courtes also directed the classic "Seven Nation Army" video and this, in a way, definitely feels like a live-action and pop cousin of it. --> watch "Yeah Yeah"
