Final Cut LA

Metronomy "Boy Racers" (David Wilson, dir.)

Take the movie Drive. Replace movie heartthrob Ryan Gosling with music video heartthrob Daniel Schienert — aka 1/2 of directing duo Daniels — and lose all the violence so that you can fit in way more sexiness. The result is the very short film Boy Racers, which doubles as both a kinda/sorta Metronomy video and a cautionary tale about self-manipulating men in self-driving cars.

BAATHHAUS "Cave Song" (KT Isaacson, dir.)

“Cave Song” is the first ever music video from Chicago art rockers BAATHHAUS.  Drawing visual inspiration from the primary color darkness of Italo-Horror films (Dario Argento’s Suspiria) and the silky sexuality of James Bidgood’s Pink Narcissus, the “Cave Song” video might have you fluttering in your heart and your pants. NSFW Synth Pop never looked so salacious or sounded so sweet. Sexual awakening and self discovery are rendered into lush floral backdrops, mysterious hallway encounters, and floating, undulating geodes.
