A lazy Sunny Afternoon depicted in hazy b&w seems like an abrupt shift from the disco-vamp period that brought Goldfrapp its biggest hits. But, even though the beats never show up, there's a moment of fabulous self-discovery that should resonate with those who have followed this band's rollercoaster ride.
Like a very sexy version of a Henry James novel, the video for Drew, leaves us wondering if we really saw what we thought we saw. Director Lisa Gunning creates a languid, sensual world in and around an abandoned manor house where semi-nude models (ghosts?) wander, interact with the artist and even fly remote control airplanes.
