NEW RELEASE: Doughty "Fort Hood"

Mike Doughty does a much better job setting up his video than I ever could, so I'm just gonna reprint the whole spiel from his blog. I don't think he'll mind.

Mike Doughty: Bex Schwartz directed this video for "Fort Hood." We made it together, without the record company, because we wanted to get a message out there, about young people whose bodies and minds are still being damaged in Iraq.

You probably know Mike Doughty as the frontman of Soul Coughing, and perhaps you know Bex Schwartz from a whole bunch of stuff — be it her blog, or one of her many many  TV appearances, or the video she directed for The Long Winters.

This video was shot in Brooklyn. Lefferts Gardens, to be exact.
