A literally reflective and metaphorically cathartic video for this song written by Julia Michaels with her beau JP Saxe.
Julia Michaels: “Writing this song with the person I love helped me realize that I could write a beautiful song about love without deriving it from toxicity. Shooting the music video was incredibly vulnerable for me, because when I wrote the song, I associated it with a significant other. When I made the music video, however, director Blythe Thomas made a wall of mirrors, and it forced me to sing these words to myself. I don’t think I’ve ever been that kind to myself, and that scared me. All that emotion in that video is incredibly real. If this process has taught me anything, it’s that sometimes we’re not as kind to ourselves as we should be. I’m grateful to have experienced this moment, and I hope fans resonate with this song and video in a special way like I did. [via press release]
Jamie Lynn Spears not only reunites with her Zoey 101 castmates, but also musically collaborates with Chantal Jeffries in a music video that also features a cavalcade of social media influencers and other guest stars.
There's definitely enough sex and violence here to warrant that initial viewer discretion warning as we follow two superfans — who seem to like plastic surgery as much as they like The Weeknd — who discover singer Abel Tesfaye's disembodied head.
A surprise release from Taylor Swift that also might be surprising in its embracement of indie folk vibes. The video itself is a magical journey, with the piano serving as a portal to new territories.
