WATCH IT: Christina Perri "Jar Of Hearts" (Jay Martin, dir.)

Some readers of this site know Christina Perri as a former music video producer. The rest of the wold knows her as a breakout sensation whose song "Jar Of Hearts" became a near-instant hit after being featured on So You Think You Can Dance. The baroque music video makes sure to acknowlege that connection with a lengthy dance routine choreographed by the show's choregrapher Stacey Tookey and all-star dancers Kathryn McCormick and Allison Holker. --> watch "Jar Of Hearts"

WATCH IT: Titus Andronicus "A More Perfect Union" (Claire Carre, dir.)

Releasing a music video shot during the Blizzard of '10 just as the Northeast starts to bathe in warm sunlight seems insane, but lots of the things that seem insane about Titus Andronicus are exactly what makes 'em so compelling. Director Claire Carre captures a snowy performance and some general rabble rousing that come across like a patriotic indie rock recreation of the American Revolution (or, to be more topical: Like a Tea Party, but with more facial hair and less raging against the wrong machine). --> watch "A More Perfect Union"

WATCH IT: Spoon "Written In Reverse"

Celebrated rock photographer/director Danny Clinch captures a loose, in-studio performance by Spoon in this simple, yet beautifully shot b&w video. The only bits of trickery involve mirrors, a motif that obviously relates to the song title for "Written In Reverse," but also results in some disorienting shots of the band and their reflected doubles. --> watch "Written In Reverse" (via PitchforkTV)

WATCH IT: Twin Atlantic "What Is Light? What Is Laughter?"

There's light a'plenty in this moody, yet energetic video by director Hannah Lux Davis for the Glasgow emo-rock band Twin Atlantic. Laughter? Not really. Light flares, exposed bulbs and flashing florescents reinforces a story line that focuses on two scared little kids who look like they wandered out of an adaptation of Oliver Twist and are slowly getting used to having a little light in their lives. --> watch "What Is Light? Where Is Laughter?"
