Ella Eyre "If I Go" (Henry Scholfield, dir.)

Here's a perfect example of using in-camera tricks to create the illusion of zero gravity...

Henry Schofield, director:

"-So the ceiling is the floor? - Yes... No... First the floor is the wall then the floor will be the floor...

The concept itself threw up a lot of technical challenges and no less in the semantics of which way is up, at what point and for whom.

30 Seconds To Mars "Up In The Air" (Bartholomew Cubbins, dir.)

Thirty Seconds To Mars - Up In The Air

One thing about Thirty Second To Mars and director Bartholomew Cubbins — who is to 30STMs  singer Jared Leto as Wolf Haley is to Tyler The Creator — is that they know how to go big. And "Up In The Air" is massive in every way — the intro, the interlude, the location and the collaborators, which runs the gamut of several A-list circles.

Bastille "Laura Palmer" (Austin Peters, dir.)

Bastille - Laura Palmer

Despite the lack of a log lady, this video takes some unexpected twists as director Austin Peters goes a bit meta: What looks like a fairly stock performance video with trendy VHS camcorder touches,  random outlaw b-roll characters, and even some "hey, we're making a video" behind-the-scenes stills becomes something else entirely when those random folks storm the set, kidnaps Bastille singer Dan Smith and decide to make their own damn video.
