Comedy Legend Harold Ramis Passes Away, Age 69

Ray Parker, Jr. - Ghostbusters

If you're uninitiated — and I don't see how you possibly could be — don't let this Ghostbusters video be introduction to comedic genius Harold Ramis. It's just the only music video remnant we have.

Ramis passed away at 69 from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels (per the Chicago Tribune).

His credits include writing Animal House, Stripes, Meatballs, Caddyshack and Ghostbusters, directing Vacation, Caddyshack and Groundhogs Day, and starring in Stripes and Ghostbusters.
