Not only is Armin van Buuren one of the world’s most renowned EDM artists, he’s also a co-founder of Armada Music. As expected, he’s a terrific guy to work for! At their offices in beautiful Amsterdam, everyone is very proud of the loving family atmosphere they foster over there, so much so that for the new video “Freefall” Armin and his collaborater BullySongs surprised the entire staff with a feature role in the new video as a way of saying thank you for all of their hard work. The only catch? They’re going skydiving at that very moment!
As the fourth single from the acclaimed album, Embrace, “Freefall” is one of a pair of collaborations with UK vocalist BullySongs. The reception was immediate and positive, quickly being picked up by Radio 538 (the largest radio broadcast in the Netherlands) as the “538 Dance Smash” on the day of release. It has become a crowd favorite, and remixes by Manse and Heatbeat have continued to spread the excitement.
This beautifully shot video is a real breath of fresh air. As the jumpers glide over the beautiful Dutch countryside, the island of Texel, and the North Sea in the distance, the smiles and happiness are 100% genuine, giving a dazzling interpretation to this soaring tune. The words of Armada senior staffer Gesine Pertenbreiter sums it up best; “This was a truly amazing and unique experience. It’s crazy the moment when you’re just about to jump… and then it’s so fast and crazy and then you’re already back on earth so quickly.” The video serves as the perfect metaphor for Armin van Buuren and his music. It’s adventurous, it’s always finding new ways to top itself, and most importantly it brings everyone along for a wild ride!
