Appearing in Phoenix, AZ at the National Council of La Raza’s annual conference, singer-songwriter duo Jesse & Joy premiered, “Un Besito Más,” the title track off their Grammy award-winning album, Un Besito Más. The emotionally-charged visual was directed by Colombian filmmaker Simón Brand and follows the harrowing narrative of one family’s undocumented journey and their sudden, tragic separation.
The National Council of La Raza is the largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the US defending the rights of all Latinos. Jesse & Joy announced their new partnership with NCLR and shared the video with conference attendees to a standing ovation. As Mexican-Americans, the brother-sister duo dedicated the video to their fellow Latinos:
“We’re so happy to share the official video for “Un Besito Más,” directed by Simon Brand. As Mexican-Americans born in Mexico City, the visual is a tribute to our fellow Latinos - beyond any borders. It’s an emotional narrative and only one of thousands of stories lived daily in the US. Our position today as individuals and members of the greater community will affect the families of tomorrow. We are with you. We are one. #UnBesitoMas”
