Future Dub Orchestra - Echoes (Official Music Video)

Echoes

Two conflicted dancers battle to gain the attention of a mysterious presence.

“Echoes” is four minute choreographed dance piece, made for the Bristol based music collective, Future Dub Orchestra (FDO) and for their ‘cinematic dub’ track: Echoes.

Theo Clarke is the songwriter, producer and musician behind the Future Dub Orchestra and is the culmination of working at the famous Coach House Studios, where musicians Massive Attack and Tricky recorded. Being involved in the evolution of the Bristol sound gave Theo the inspiration to take his love of sound system culture, Dub, Electronica and cinematic soundscapes to form the collective. Future Dub Orchestra have been working with major promoters to support music’s biggest left field artists, from Roni Size, Submotion Orchestra, Nightmares on Wax, Peanut Butter Wolf, Red Snapper and Gentleman's Dub Club.

The rivalry found between two dancers, characterises (through movement and energy) the political troubles found in our world and more specifically, how these ‘troubles’ are echoed through news stories and social media.

The dancers however, are not alone for a mysterious singer (personifying the idea of peace) is able to unite the dancers through leading them back into a state of synchronisation - a balance of good and evil.
