WATCH IT: M83 "Wait" (Fleur & Manu, dir.)

"Wait" feels like a perfect video in our final pre-apocalyptic days (or can I stop worrying?) ending M83 and directing team Fleur & Manu' trilogy about magical kids on a gracefully epic note.

Fleur & Manu, directors: " 'Wait is' the final episode of the trilogy. The end point of this great visual collaboration that has been ongoing with M83 throughout 2012. We felt it was important to re-connect with a meaningful subject that would have an echo in today's world. The promise of a new cycle, seen through the kid's eyes."

WATCH IT: Eels "Peach Blossum" (Andrew Van Baal, dir.)

A Tambourine Woman teaches Eels frontman Mark Everett to stop and smell the peach blossums. And yes, it's an easy lesson to grasp. (A harder lesson is also on display: Director Andrew Van Baal's ability to especially nail the musical side of the equation, perfectly catching some distortion pedal stomps and tambourine shakes.) --> watch "Peach Blossum" (via Stereogum)

THE OTHER SIDE: "Smack My Kitty Up"

Bryan Reisberg has been a good friend of Videostatic.com and an invaluable resource when it comes to uncovering ridiculous music videos that are seemingly from another universe. So, made sense to have him join us in covering these videos from The Other Side...

First up is this cat-tastic remake of "Smack My Bitch Up", actually a re-edit of the cat-cam scenes from director Whitey McConnaughy's Superchunk video "Crossed Wires"...
