Majical Cloudz "Childhood's End" (Emily Kai Bock, dir.)

majical cloudz - childhood's end

Just when you think the old man has found a way to happiness in director Emily Kai Bock's beautifully cinematic and haunting b/w piece, you realize he's still stuck on the tracks. Literally.

PS: Character actor Kenneth Welsh plays the old man. And he's actually the real life dad of Devon Welsh aka Majical Clouds, which makes this video even more personal and powerful.

Nicki Minaj "High School" (Benny Boom, dir.)

Nicki Minaj - High School (Explicit) ft. Lil Wayne

How hard is it to keep Nicki Minaj undercover? The key is to 'hide' her out in the open and that's exactly what director Benny Boom does in this racy heist clip. Nicki starts out as the girlfriend of a dangerous crime boss, but things change fast when Weezy shows up.

Skunk Anansie "This Is Not A Game (director's cut)" (Lore&Jun, dir.)

Skunk Anansie 'This Is Not A Game' (Director's Cut)

Projections and pigfaced men are the primary elements, but it's the use of Skunk Anansie as living film screens for footage of earlier performance that create the literally two-faced appearances that really tie into the song's distrustful core.

Snoop Lion "No Guns Allowed" (Jessy Terrero, dir.)

Snoop Lion ft. Drake and Cori B. - "No Guns Allowed" (Official Video)

The Rasta conversion of rapper Snoop Dogg into reggae toaster Snoop Lion is no joke — something made clear in the Reincarnated documentary and put into practice with "No Guns Allowed." News footage of school massacres is matched with stark b/w footage of kids playing with guns and up-close of shots of Snoop and his daughter, Cori B, who sings on the track.
