NEW RELEASE: Wyclef Jean "Sweetest Girl"

Wyclef Having a clique/label named Refugee Camp uniquely qualifies Wyclef Jean to solve any/all of the world's immigration problems, but the goal here is a bit more personal: 'Clef wants to make sure "The Sweetest Girl" gets into the country. Despite that stated concern the former Fugee spends most of the video performing this tune on his acoustic and collaborating with Akon and Lil' Wayne inside a refugee camp. Thankfully, the Sweetest Girl ain't so sweet and decides to take matters into her own hands by launching a molotov cocktail and starting a full scale riot among her fellow detainees. The eventual outcome is left TBD as an ending title promises that these "memoirs of an immigrant [are] to be continued."

In Wyclef We Trust     While you wait, however, you should also check the viral video for a totally different vibe. Although the official video is a deadly serious opus with feature film aspirations, this director-uncredited "viral" is way more light-hearted —  nothing more than a constant stream of consciousness visual riffs on the lyrics — and will probably leave you smiling and humming the melody instead of thinking about what you (or Wyclef, or Sally Struthers) can do to save the world.  --> watch "The Sweetest Girl" (or watch "The Sweetest Girl" viral)
