WATCH IT: Frightened Rabbit "I Feel Better"

trippy Richard Linklater's debut feature Slacker begins with a classic stoner monologue in which Linklater himself wonders if there are alternate realities for every thought and considered action that run through your head as you go about living the "true" reality that follows your actual decisions*. This sketchy little video by director Sam Molleur for Frightened Rabbit is about that phenomemon, where our hero begins to see all his options and decides to invent a device that allows him to experience all these parallel realities all at once. --> watch "I Feel Better"

*To help describe this bit of puff-puff-pass philosophy, Linklater puts it in the context of The Wizard Of Oz: "You know in The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy meets the Scarecrow and they do that little dance at the crossroads and they think about going in all those directions and they end up going in that one direction? "All those other directions, just because they thought of them, became separate realities. I mean, they just went on from there and lived the rest of their lives... you know, entirely different movies, but we'll never see it because we're kind of trapped in this one reality restriction type of thing." Got it? Cool. Let's crank some Floyd and watch Oz now.
