WATCH IT: Radar Bros. "Brother Rabbit"

Radar BrosWith films like There Will Be Blood and No Country for Old Men, it appears that we're undergoing a bit of a rustic renaissance of sorts. Fitting snugly into this niche is the latest video for the Radar Bros., helmed by the directing trio The General Assembly. "Brother Rabbit" documents a day in the life of an roughneck oil rigger in deceptively simple detail. The mournful song fits nicely, and gives an extra layer of meaning to the sparse story. Filmed in the directors' hometown of Healdton, OK  it opens the viewer up to a world so familiar, yet rarely examined. The video is filmed with the loose sensibility of a documentary, even though the main character is actually an actor who had never set foot on an oil derrick until the day of shooting.
