As you could guess from Anthony Kiedis' recent preference for wearing an OFF cap, the artwork of Raymond Pettibon — as seen on album art for OFF!, Sonic Youth and, most famously, Black Flag — has probably been on his mind. This video for "Monarchy Of Roses" takes a mix of Pettibone's work and some other elements inspired by him and creates an animated world for Red Hot Chili Peppers to perform this latest single off Be With You.
Also, in light of all the recent hoo-haw over video inspirations and such, it's worth noting that the video was clearly done with the cooperation of Raymond Pettibon, even crediting him within the clip itself. --> watch "Monarchy Of Roses"
