Grouplove "Shark Attack" (Cameron Duddy, dir.)

Every great trick carries the illusion of risk, but things could get truly dangerous when a magician switches Grouplove with two extremely dissimilar bands — one Mariachi, the other Ugandan metal — much to the displeasure of all involved.

PS: That's John Hawkes as the magician. Depending on your cultural level, you know him as either an award winning film actor, or as Kenny Power's brother on Eastbound & Down.

Justin Bieber "All That Matters" (Colin Tilley, dir.)

While the teaser made "All That Matters" seem like it an all-growns-up bump and grind, the full video presents something a bit more uncomfortable (or less uncomfortable, depending on your perspective). Which isn't to say that sex isn't in the air here — it is, big time — but Bieber moves all too easily from intensity to playfulness to tentativeness, like a master performer trying to see what role gets the best response.

Owen Wilson, Harry Dean Stanton and Dawes Help The Killers Wish You A Happy Xmas in L.A.

Who needs Clarence when you've got a disinterested Harry Dean Stanton to shepherd in an existential Christmas In L.A. for you?

The annual Killers Christmas charity single gets some special guests this year: Owen Wilson stars in the video mix of live action and animation, Saint HD Stanton makes a cameo appearance, and Dawes jump on the track.

Rebecca Black Finally Confronts The Horror That Is "Friday"

Here's a scary thought: "Friday" would have definitely been a Top 40 hit if it had been released after Billboard Magazine instituted their "let's count viral video views" into their chart formula.

Also scary: The video itself, which apparently also strikes a heart of darkness within Rebecca Black, who watches her video two and a half years later and seems equally thrilled and appalled by it all.

Superchunk "Void" (Scott Jacobson, dir.)

Chris Rock once said that you never wanna be the old guy in the club. Though he was speaking in a hip-hop context, that adage may apply to the Brooklyn hipster scene as well.

Exhibit A: this vid from Superchunk, featuring Jon Glaser (Parks & Rec, Human Giant), Jon Benjamin (who Has A Van), and Ted Travelstead, [and Superchunk's own Jon Wuster]

Now, I gotta find a black Security tee of my own...

Magistrates "When We Are Apart" (V/H/Yes, dir.)

The dating service videos of your dreams... or nightmares?

Rob Brandon aka V/H/Yes (and one half of directing duo Rob & Rob):

"Magistrates is my brothers band. They are all very awkward people, I tried to push that.

We shot it in my living room last weekend. I finished editing it the other night. There were no expectations and no one to approve it but the band themselves and so its been a very quick process, which I love.
