The mystique of Lana Del Rey as the postmodern femme fatale continues with this first "proper" video off Born To Die. Like Lana herself, there's all sort of styles clashing on-screen, from a baroque palatial setting (with a throne and tigers, no less) to a sulty set-up where she runs off to pursue the American Dream of rebellion, sex and the open road with her loverman. Things don't end up so well for Lana, but not even death and destruction could knock that steely, yet sexy insouciance off her face.
Directed by Yoann Lemoine, who you should know from his Woodkid "Iron" video and/or Katy Perry "Teenage Dream." --> watch "Born To Die"
