Peter Gabriel is ready to remake "Sledgehammer," or more precisely: He's ready for you to remake it.
As part of the 25th anniversary of his landmark album So, the classic rocker is calling upon people to fire up their webcams and recreate one of the most popular and critically acclaimed videos of all time.
Using a timeline format through his Facebook page, you can pick a scene and then either film or link to a YouTube clip of your own version.
Most of the current contributions aren't up to the quality of the original, but then again, very few have the talents of the video's original fx/animatiors, Aardman Animations and Quay Brothers.
Also interesting: Nobody has taken the obvious route of remaking the opening shot, but I'm kind of thankful for that.
