WATCH IT: Usher "Numb" (Chris Applebaum & Grace Harry, dir.)

Usher breaks out of the box (literally) in a glossy, yet emotional video that begins with a career lowpoint and ends in catharsis. The "on display" performance is broked up by a sharp and kinetic edit that rockets through a series of personal and universal experiences that reresent the song's maxim, "What don't kill, only makes you strong." --> watch "Numb"

WATCH IT: Slaughterhouse f/ Cee-Lo "My Life" (Syndrome, dir.)

The combined net worth of Slaughterhouse — consisting of respected rappers Joe Budden, Royce Da 5' 9", Joell Ortiz and Crooked I — doesn't come close to what Eminem is sitting on, even if you threw in guest singer Cee-Lo Green as a handicap. So, it makes sense that the Slaughterhouse aspirations seem a bit more realistic than the lifestyle we see Shady Records honcho Eminem living in the (very funny) intro: Shooting Platinum albums like Skeet, playing Whack-A-Mole with imported baby seals, and getting fed grapes from his pet Dinosaurs. --> watch "My Life"
