THE 1975 "A Change of Heart" (Tim Mattia, dir.)

This would have also been a fantastic video for Springsteen's "County Fair" or even "Tunnel Of Love," and let me assure you: That's a compliment (even if it exposes my heart as old, suburban, sentimental, etc, etc.)

"A Change Of Heart" has 1975 frontman Matty Healy as a sad, silent-film clown who finds love on magically epic night of love and dance at the traveling carnival.

Mumford & Sons "Ditmas" (Alex Southam, dir.)

Ditmas may be in refence to the Brooklyn neighborhood, but the view finds us in the lovely fields of the Kiev countryside with a horse-whispering warrior and a folk-turned-rock band performing in the round.

Alex Southam, director:: "The Cossack character (Evgeniy) in the video is a genuine cossack raised within a cossack community - part of his work now is to break and train horses so was the perfect subject for our film. Whilst the shoot was pretty brutal and unforgiving - particularly for our hero - we captured something really special, no more so than the moments in the final third of the video where our hero finally becomes one with the horse."

Ben Khan "1000" (Yoni Lappin, dir.)

For those waiting (so far in vain) for a Twin Peaks reboot, this Red Room homage might hold you over...

Yoni Lappin, director: "Ben came to me with an idea about being at the mercy of a woman controlling him in his dreams. We both loved and connected to the Red Room scene from Twin Peaks as a visual reference for his dream world and used this as a starting point. From there, we carried on discussing ideas back and forth and adding layers. Although it may come across as random, nothing is in there for no reason; Ben actually writes his lyrics on that type writer (although we did spray paint it green for the video) and that's Ben's cat in there too. I hope people keep watching it and picking up on the little things."
