Larkins singer Josh Noble gets blindsided by a car, but shoulders on bloodied, but undaunted, perhaps serving of metaphor for the unexpected collisions in life that can't stop your forward momentum.
A kid version of Wiley holds it down in this street game of "pass the mic" with Stefflon Don and Sean Paul, with an unexpected lyrical turn by actor Idris Elba.
Andy Butler, Hercules & Love Affair: “So after six years of us never appearing in a Hercules and Love Affair video (more by accident than design), I wanted us to appear in the video for “Rejoice”. Rouge Mary is such a ferocious performer so it was kind of a no brainer. We had to capture that energy in this video.
An uphill journey with staircase after staircase, but eventually leading out of the murky waters and into transcendence aboveground.
Crowns & Owls, director: "The Omnion video is an exploration of the nuances of gender and sexuality. A story of rebirth, the video follows a lone figure in red on an ascending pilgrimage up a seemingly infinite stair. Perspective play, scale and negative space is used to reflect the complexity of identity. Under dappled light our character is guided by descending children; serenely vacant and dripping with water. The stairs open to small rooms, each one a dreamlike homage to the childhood experiences of Andy Butler. The closing sequence shows the woman arriving at the summit of the stairs, where a surreal pool cleanses her of the anxieties of adulthood, rebirthing her as a little boy, blessing her with blissful juvenile nativity.
The video was created with a strong emphasis on practical effects - using miniatures, large scale sets and precise lighting."
What starts as a commentary on sexist ass/legs videos, turns into a pomo exploration on Internet overactions, turns into an actual reality as weird as what we've just seen, before turning into a meditation on the loneliness of the creative video director, played by Keith Schofield himself.
Coasts' "A Rush of Blood" portrays the experience of young freedom and recklessness through the lens of transient, teenage runaways in southeastern America. Following the story of a kid that leaves his life behind to travel with a group of fun-loving train hoppers, we introduce an eclectic, bizarre, nomadic community that moves from city to city in search of fun, love, and new experiences. The open energy of the song is matched by the intensity and passion by which this group leads their lives.
