Dead! "Up For Ran$om (Directors Cut)" (Lewis Cater, dir.)

The video for Up For Ran$om takes the aggressive and fast moving vibe of the track and juxtapositiones it against a simple, suave, classic and romantic performance. A sense of nostalgia with a modern bite. As a kid I would always watch the show Top of the Pops every Friday on BBC1. As that show no longer exists, I thought why not bring it back.

We shot the video on an old 3 tube Ikegami, a camera that was actually used on Top of the Pops. I also called upon operator; Dicky Howelett - a TOTP veteran himself to help achieve an authentic and nostalgic look.

Fatherson "Always" (Lewis Cater, dir.)

"The video for 'Always' is about viewing reality through rose tinted glasses and the conciquences we face when removing them. The inspiration from this video comes from a certain fashion commercial that was everywhere when I was kid. These series of commercials only showed the glossy side of life, almost robotic in a way. I decided to turn the perfect denim commerical upside down and expose the viewer to a situation that's a much better reflection of society."

E of E "Wake Up" (Lewis Cater, dir.)

"Wake Up is a representation of a broken home, broken promises, broken friendships, it is a wake up call to stand up and be aware of what’s around you. The video sees the EofE trapped within a realm of mystery that is also occupied by shadow creatures. The broken relationship of these creatures has an effect on the band, tormenting them with the destructive state of their love affair." - Lewis Cater
