Streetgang Films has announced the signing of director Nez Khammal for USA music video production. He will be repped by Tommy Labuda of Labuda Management in the U.S..

NEWS: Flux Super 8 Director Showcase Launching

Introducing The Flux Super 8 — a list of eight emerging young artists working in film/video/music/design — curated by RESFEST founder Jonathan Wells and designer/gallerist Meg Wells, under the auspices of their creative booster company, Flux. The inaugural list of honorees will have exclusive installations on display at the Scion Installation L.A. gallery in a show running Saturday, August 15 — September 3.

NEWS: 2009 MTV VMA Nominations

Noinations have been announced for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Beyonce and Lady Gaga lead the pack with nine MTV Video Music Awards nominations each, with Britney Spears right behind with seven nods. One new wrinkle for this year's even is BEST VIDEO (THAT SHOULD HAVE WON A MOONMAN), which seeks to right previous wrongs by bestowing awards upon great videos that never won VMAs.

Jake Nava leads all directors with nine nominations for Beyonce "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)." Other directors with multiple nominations include Joseph Kahn with six (Eminem "We Made You" and Britney Spears "Womanizer") and Ray Kay, Jonas Akerlund and Francis Lawrence with five each.
