DVR ALERT: MTV VMAs This Sunday - 9/8c

MTV's annual Video Music Awards are broadcasting live from L.A. this Sunday, August 28 9/8c. Here's the deal:

  • Performers include Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Adele, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Young The Giant, and a tribute to Amy Winehouse featuring Tony Bennett. Also, Jessie J will be fronting the House Band all night. 
  •  Presenting and/or appearing are:  Jonah Hill, Rick Ross, Seth Rogen, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Odd Future, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Lautner, Drake, Joe Jonas and many more.

ANNOUNCING: Wondros Music+Vision

Jesse Dylan’s recently-launched production company Wondros has tapped Executive Producer Joseph Uliano to lead its newly-formed Music+Vision division which will focus on music videos and other content that fuses together music and visuals.  Joining Uliano is Head Of Production/Sales Neil Maiers who also comes over from Merge@Crossroads, where the two oversaw numerous award winning videos and other music-related productions.

Annnouncing ARTISTS AND DERELICTS, a new media and production company creating content that ranges from commercials to music videos to integrated content and beyond. Launched in July 2011 as a boutique label of his long-established production company DNA, Artists And Derelicts is overseen by DNA executive producer Missy Galanida and DNA producer Heather Heller, with DNA's Isaac Rice as the director's rep.

NEWS: UK Music Video Awards Call For Entries

The UK Music Video Awards return to London's West End on November 8 to celebrate the best British and not British music videos of the year.

The UK MVAs are accepting submissions now for their expanded slate of award categories — ranging from Best Video to Best Telecine to numerous genre awards and several category break-outs to honor UK, International and "budget" entries.
