Calvin Harris "...From The Bottle" (Haycock/Rojas, dir.)

Calvin Harris feat. Tinie Tempah - Drinking From the Bottle

Although the premise of "Lucifer moves to Hollywood and fits right in" sounds like a sitcom, directors AG Rojas and Vincent Haycock balance the flashes of humor here — I could see actor Brad Dourif's Louis Cypher as a Borscht Belt champion  — with enough malice and mayhem (and mammaries) to push the boundaries of even Cable TV.

WATCH IT: Sigur Ros "Rembihnútur" (Arni & Kinski, dir.)

The Valtari Mystery Film Experiment,in which 12 directors were each given the same modest budget and asked to make what they want for a track off the new Sigur Ros album, continues with "Rembihnútur." Although it won't have the same clickability as the last one ('Shia LeBeouf nude' is a popular search term), directors Arni & Kinski deliver a gorgous and hypnotic video of people meditating and reaching their own internal catharses. --> watch "Rembihnútur"

WATCH IT: Coldplay/Rihanna "Princess Of China" (Adria Petty + Alan Bibby, dir.)

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and Rihanna go big in this epic video for "Princess Of China" that takes the form of a fake trailer for a retro Kung-Fu film that plays out a bit more like a Bollywood extravaganza. There's lots of wirework, geishas, dance numbers and even something close to a love scene  between the two music stars (OK, it's not a love scene, but they're damn close to each other). --> watch "Princess Of China" plus a making of

WATCH IT: Florence + The Machine "No Light, No Light" (Arni & Kinski, dir.)

Florence Welch is trapped in a battle between the pagan and the sacred, her soul precariously balanced on the precipice. Of course she falls — prodded on by the pinpricks of a Voodoo Man — but she tumbles into the outstretched arms of some choirboys. Unfortunately, this is also the sort of subject matter that's very easy to fall into trouble with, as proven by the many YouTube comments that take issue with the video's Eurocentric depiction of race and religion. The visuals are mostly of the thrilling and beautiful variety — especially FloWe's epic fall from and intro grace — and controversy/commentary is way better than disinterest. Just ask Madonna.

WATCH IT: Beyonce "Countdown" (Beyonce + Adria Petty, dir.)

If "Single Ladies" was Beyonce channeling choreographer Bob Fosse's muse Gwen Verdon, then "Countdown" is pulasting with the spirit of Audrey Hepburn. Beyonce and her co-director Adria Petty use countless quick cuts and even a separate school set-up that's squarely in the Fame/Flashdance zone to keep things beyond lively, even though Beyonce has more than enough charisma to carry the thing in one take, especially now that her arsenal includes a pregnant belly to accompany her other gifts.
