Little Big Town's song, ’Tornado,’ takes a scorned lover’s desire for revenge and retribution to the extreme with lyrics that paint a dark tale of payback. The foreboding track flooded director Shane Drake's imagination with imagery - and the storyline for the video began to take shape.
With actor Johnathon Schaech ('Ray Donovan,' 'Phantom,' 'That Thing You Do,") playing the antagonist - with just the right balance of allure and evil - and singer Karen Fairchild's bringing all the fury of a woman hell bent on settling the score - the compelling mini-movie, earned a nod from the Country Music Association for 'Best Video of the Year.' One of two Drake's work received from the CMA this year. (The second CMA nod was for Tim McGraw's 'Highways Don't Care,' with Taylor Swift, featuring Keith Urban on guitar.)
