LIVE IT: Death Grips "I've Seen Footage" (MTV GIF ME MORE PARTY)

Ever wanted to go to the MTV Beach House? Well, too bad. Those days are over. But, how about  MTV's Gif Me More Party, a fun-filled L.A. pool bash where mostly pretty people do mostly silly things. And you can experience it through the eyes of any character you wish in this interactive Death Grips video: Just click each person and live vicariously by proxy. --> Go GIF Me More

WATCH IT: Eytan & The Embassy "Everything Changes" (Star Wars)

How do you extend the life of a viral video? You use The Force.

Eytan And The Embassy saxophonist Geoff Countryman goes full Jedi in this remake of "Everything Changes," where instead of masquerading as various iconic music stars, he dons several different Star Wars looks. As in the original, it's all one-take. And thankfully, there's no Jar Jar Binks. --> watch "Everything Changes" (Star Wars edition)

2012 BET Hip Hop Nominations

Kanye West nabs 17 nominations for the annual BET Hip-Hop Awards, including my favorite categories: Hustler Of The Year and the Made-You-Look Award.

Two video categories: Best Hip Hop Video and Vido Director of The Year. All familiar names — if you're a video pro and catch RCA exec Samantha Lecca, who gets a Best Director nod for co-directing credit for her work with A$AP Rocky.

Also of note is Director X's omission from Best Director despite having two videos in the Best Video category.

WATCH IT: Ellie Goulding "Anything Could Happen" (Floria Sigismondi, dir.)

Everything seems to float just slightly un-tethered from the ground and earthly concerns in this new Floria Sigismondi clip for Ellie Goulding. The waves cascade skyward while shards of mirror and reflective bubbles seems to be caught up in the fizzing, aerial energy of the song. The artist looks a bit like Robyn With The Dragon Tattoo — the kind of fiercely other-worldly beauty that shows up in a lot of Floria's fashion and beauty advertising work. The evocative ending twist is almost inevitable, but still affecting and (of course) gorgeous. --> watch "Anything Could Happen"

WATCH IT: Mika "Origin Of Love" (Cristian Jimenez, dir.)

Of course you can learn to love again. But, there's more effective ways than being admitted to a hospital where they clip your eyes open à la Orange Méchanique to watch memories of better times. The heroine in this "short film" comes to that realization and busts free, on a quest to find her man again.

And despite the very forceful warning on the video's YouTube page that makes it sound like you're about to watch The Human Centipede
