Kylie Minogue "I Was Gonna Cancel"

Pretty sure Kylie Minogue doesn't usually have so much trouble standing out in a crowd...

"This video is an abstract look at pedestrian life and how we're all just trying to get through and rise above everyday challenges. Although the song talks about a real life event that happened the day I recorded the song with Pharrell, the video has a more conceptual approach and I love how surreal it looks. I found myself almost directing traffic and it made me think about how we're all just trying to negotiate our way through day to day life." - Kylie Minogue

Al-Namrood "Bat Al Tha ar Nar Muheja" (Kalen Artinian, dir.)

Al-Namrood’s members live in Saudi Arabia, where their unknown status is more of a perverse luxury than a career limitation. They live in a country whose government sanctioned morality police can enter your home without cause and force you to submit to unwritten theocratic law, whether you agree with it or not. This is a country where speech is not free, where divergent opinions are met with hostility. Al-Namrood rehearses and records in secret. Performing live is not only impossible, but suicidal. Saudi Arabia is a country where the accused have no access to due process.
