2021 MTV VMA Nominees

MTV today announced the 2021 VMA nominations. Justin Bieber leads all nominees with 7 nods, followed by Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo all also earning multiple nominations.

The show will broadcast live from NYC's Barclays Center on Sunday, September 12 at 8PM ET/PT, airing on MTV, and simulcast on CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, VH1 and The CW Network.

CLIPPED MV Fest Call for Submissions

CLIPPED Music Video Festival, Australia’s only festival dedicated to the art of music video, returns in its 6th year as part of Vivid Sydney, one of the world's largest annual festival of creativity and innovation. This year, CLIPPED is expanding their International Program with a broadcast show to be live-streamed on Friday, August 27th Entries will be considered for the following four categories:

2021 UK Music Video Awards Open For Entry

The UK Music Video Awards has begun accepting submissions for its 2021 edition. This year boasrs the UKMVAs largest ever range of categories, broken down by music genre, technical and craft achievement, film production, and excellence across a body of work in a range of industry skillsets from commissioning to post-production.

Entrants can submit their work via the official website at www.ukmva.com until August 3rd, with a planned live event at London’s Roundhouse on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

2020 MVPA Award Nominations Announced

The 2020 MVPA Awards Nominations have been announced, celebrating a wide array of music videos in categories ranging from Genre Awards to Professional Awards, plus a special Lockdown category recognizing work made during the COVID-19 quarantine.

An in-person event is obviously dependent upon Pandemic restrictions, but winners will be announced in the coming weeks, with various roundtables and other activations planned.

Nominations are out for the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards, to be broadcast Jan 31 on CBS.

The nominees for Best Music Video are:

2020 UK MVA Awards Winners

The UK Music Video Awards held a "lockdown" virtual ceremony this year, celebrating some of the best music video work both in the UK and internationally. Director Sam Pilling's video for DJ Shadow’s "Rocket Fuel" stood out on the night,  winning Video Of The Year and three more awards, while fellow director Anton Tammi — who helmed four videos for The Weeknd — won Best Director award, and also Best Pop Video International for "Blinding Lights."
